ABOUT ME

A designer with a dash (or two) of nerd

Who I Am

I’m a designer because compassionate creativity can move mountains. Also, it's just fun! I draw inspiration from plants, nerds, social action, and graffiti painted on the buildings I see driving through the city. I thrive on collaborating with people. Nothing gets me more excited than breathing life into an idea and turning it into something visual and special.

Technology and design are uniquely positioned to help solve human problems and promote inclusion. They can be used to harness our diversity of thought and to bring people together. And who doesn’t want that? Probably terrorists...or maybe people who think Bob Ross isn’t a national treasure? If bringing joy and doing good for others is the goal, then my creative works are the path I'm taking to get there.

Five Goals

  1. Become a polymath (someone whose expertise spans a significant number of different subject areas—such a person is known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems.)
  2. Leverage technology and design thinking to help solve human problems.
  3. Always work with companies that share my values (i.e. compassion, excellence, and fun).
  4. Develop more hobbies that require skilled hands (current areas of interest include leather working, illustration, and glass blowing).
  5. Fire up the grill in my backyard and eat entirely too many hot dogs.
